This is a review of a split ep between Canada's Soil Of Ignorance and U.S.A's Endless Demise which was released by Give Praise Records and we will start off the review with Soil Of Ignorance a band that has been featured before in t his zine and plays a mixture of grindcore and power violence.
Their side of the split starts off with aggressive shouting vocals and a brutal grindcore sound that also mixes in a great amount of blast beats and elements of power violence and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some melodies and at times and you can also hear death metal growls being utilized in certain sections of the recording and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them, some of the tracks bring in a small amount of samples, the production sounds very powerful while the lyrics cover dark and angry themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Soil Of Ignorance and if you are a fan of grindcore and power violence, you should check out there side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Reality Enforcement" and "Downfall Existence".
Nest up is Endless Demise a band that plays a mixture of crust and grindcore.
Their side of the split starts out with a very raw and lo-fi crust/grind sound along with some growling vocals and the music goes for more of an old school style of grindcore that also uses a great amount of blast beats and high pitched screams and the songs stick to either a mid paced or fast musical direction along with some slow riffs being utilized at times, the production sound s very old school yet heavy at the same time while the lyrics cover dark and violent themes.
In my opinion Endless Demise are a very great sounding mixture of crust and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Pass The Point Of Punishment" and "Clouds Of Doubt".
In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of crust, power violence and grindcore. 8 out of 10.
