We Are The Damned/Holy Beast/Massacre Records/2011 CD Review

We Are The Damned are a band that plays a mixture of crust/grind and death'n'roll and this is a review of their 2011 album "Holy Beast" which was released by Massacre Records.

Drums range from slow, midpaced to fast drumming with a great amount of brutal last beats, while the keyboards that where used on the intro have a very tragic sound to them and there also some effects on certain songs and a piano being used on the instrumental, as for the bass playing sounds very heavy and powerful grinding riffs that are very easy to hear at times.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, midpaced to fast riffs that combine crust/grind, brutal death metal and rock music together with some thrashy rhythms and a small amount of soft playing being used on one song, as for the lead guitars which are used vey rarely they are very distorted sounding guitar solos.

Vocals range from high pitched grindcore screams, deep death metal growls and crustcore style shouts and screams and on some songs there are samples, while the lyrics cover Anti-Christian Society, Humor And Satanism with a couple of songs being written in Porteguese, as for the production it has a very heavy and professional sound with it with all of the musical instruments having a very brutal sound to them.

In my opinion We Are The Damned are a very good crust/grind/Death Metal/rock band and if you are looking for a band that mixes these styles together, you should check out this band. RECEMMONDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Serpent" "Throne Of Lies" "Christian Orgy" and "Neo Pigs". RECEMMONDED BUY.
